Participative programming on Revolutionary Musketry, Medicine, and Militia at The Learning Center and Old Santee Canal in Moncks Corner.  Free with Park entry fee.  Registration required.  Bring your own lunches!

6/19/25   9 – 4 PM Colonial Charleston Teacher Institute: 25 Graduate Students and 3 facilitators take Revolutionary Berkeley Bus Tour with Docent David Reuwer.  Meet at Berkeley County Museum at 9.  Tour Fort Fair Lawn, Biggin Church Ruins, Wadboo stop (for Biggin Bridge, Wadboo Bridge, Quinby Bridge, and Shubrick’s), Laurens’s gravesite at Mepkin Abbey and Strawberry Chapel.

 

6/20/25   9 – 12 PM Sew Revolutionary! Class for quilters and quilter-wannabes at The Learning Center on Old Santee Canal Park.  Free and open to the public.

 

6/23-27/25    Lowcountry Explorers Summer Camp Junior History with educational walking tour of Revolutionary Fort Fair Lawn for 6-8 year-olds at Old Santee Canal Park.  Registration required.

10/21/25   7 – 8:30 PM Celebrate John Laurens’s Birthday!  Actors’ Theatre of SC panelists and actors present information about John Laurens and the filming of John Laurens War at Daniel Pointe Auditorium (514 Robert Daniel Drive).   Eat Revolutionary birthday cake to celebrate great Revolutionary hero. Event co-hosted by Berkeley 250, DIHS, and Daniel Pointe Retirement Community.

 

 11/8/25    Memorial Celebration “Salute to Veterans” at Revolutionary War General Francis Marion’s Belle Isle Gravesite, located 1 mile off State Road 45, at Francis Marion State Park, Pineville SC 29468 in coordination with DAR, SAR, SC Guard, and LBCT.
